PanicDraft

A local safety net for everything you type on the web. PanicDraft quietly saves drafts in ChatGPT, Slack, LinkedIn, Notion and any other form, so a closed tab or a crash never costs you a message again.

Who it is for

People who write long messages in web apps and have lost one to a refresh, a crash or a dropped connection.

What it does

  • Saves silently after a short pause — no pop-ups while you write.
  • Restore points to recover from an accidental delete or rewrite.
  • A timeline to find and copy an earlier draft in one click.
  • Skips password, one-time code, payment, login and address fields automatically.
  • Stored only in the extension on your computer, and not cleared with site cookies.
  • Works in Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi and Arc.

Why I built it

I got tired of losing text when a page refreshed, a tab crashed, or a form had no autosave.

What I built

  • Field detection that saves drafts and ignores sensitive inputs.
  • Versioned restore points and a searchable timeline of sessions.
