Step 7 · Hours 42–48
Publish and ask
A stable address, a tiny feedback path, five people who should see it, and one question.
Make it findable and shareable
Check the page title, the description and the preview image that appears when the link is pasted into a message. Add a short line at the bottom: who made it, and a link to send feedback, even if it is only an email address.
Send it to five people, personally
Not a post into the void: five messages to five people who have the problem. Say why you thought of them, include the link, and ask one question:
“What stopped this from being immediately useful?”
It invites honest answers and points straight at the next fix. “Looks great!” is pleasant and useless; “I did not know what to paste” is gold.
Write the answers down
In the same note as your not-list. After a week, you will see whether people come back, whether they ask for the same thing, and whether the tool deserves a second weekend.
Then decide
Three outcomes are all good:
- Nobody needs it. You learned that in 48 hours instead of six months. Leave it online; it costs nothing.
- A few people use it. Fix what they say, once.
- People ask to pay for more. That is the start of a product.
Done when
The tool is on its final address with a feedback link, five people have it, and their answers are written down. You finished something. Next time will be faster.
Step 7 is done when
0 of 4Tick each one once it is true for your project, then move on.
Step 7 done.
